A ten foot long corrugated pressboard sheet is transformed by Enzo Mari into a "defensive" wall to protect a place to play: ten panels with different shapes and decorations to encourage imagination, invent stories and new characters with each configuration. This game is a fortress of solitude, anywhere. In a few seconds, create an imagination break in everyday life. Yellow circles like the sun, blue waves like the sea, a wall made of red bricks... no written rules, only the creativity of the player to invent each time. Il Posto dei Giochi was originally produced in 1967; this second facsimile is faithfully re-produced by Edizioni Corraini.
Enzo Mari was born in Novara in 1932. He attended the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and dedicated himself to exploring "the psychology of vision and design methods." As a designer, he worked for the top Italian and international manufactures, and examples of his design objects can be found in many museums the world over.
