When Israeli designer Shahar Peleg got married, he and his bride were both seeking appealing but unobtrusive centerpieces for the tables. They couldn't find a thing, so engaging his creativity, he developed magnetic vases--a series of anodized aluminum bud vases that appear to be delicately balanced on the table, but are actually magnetized and reacting to small, extremely thin metal bases strategically placed beneath the tablecloth. Peleg's experimentation with optical illusions and "magic" often results in smart and surprising products that challenge the spectator to take a closer, more detailed look.
Metal bases (not visible in picture) are 2.75" X 2.75"; vases are 9.5" X .5". Set includes 5 vases and 5 bases.
