X truly does mark the spot, especially for this puzzle: you’ll know you’ve solved it when it forms an 'X' and has same-colored sides. The X-Cube has 6 colors, 52 moving parts, 102 stickers, and 125 decillion possible permutations. It has over 2 quadrillion times more permutations than the original Rubik's Cube, making it perhaps the ultimate brain teaser for older kids and adults.

X-Cube was originally created on a 3D printer by Dane Christianson, a 19-year-old inventor from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Christianson managed to raise more than $53,000 on Kickstarter (well over his initial goal of $30,000) and the X-Cube was born.

Sold individually. For ages 3+. WARNING: choking hazard--small parts. Not for children under three years of age.
All proceeds from the MCA Store support the exhibitions and programs of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
